The realities of the world have hit home!

I have been working on the second novel in my Zombie World Domination trilogy. I originally fixed a publish date/time period of first quarter of 2017. Rather than push an unacceptable work to meet the publish time period I have agreed with myself to move my publish time period to late second quarter of this year, 2017.

I want to think everyone for hanging in there with me. I do have a question to everyone. Would you, my reader, want me to hold to my original time or push it back to be able to deliver my work that I can accept?

Zombie World Domination: The Stratagem. Book two of the ZWD Trilogy

News of the new year for Zombie World Domination trilogy….

I have about 50% in rough draft format of the second book in my trilogy. The farther I wrote in my second book the harder it got to move forward. I went back to the first chapter and rewrote it from there. I had an outline but it was not as complete as it should have been.

Thus the story line started to become difficult to move forward. I tightened up the story line. I then reworked each chapter to follow my revised outline. It flows much better now.

Wow, the difference a tight outline makes. It should be available sometime around the beginning of the second quarter of this year.

Oh well. the best laid plans of men…… Yada, yada, yada.

My zombie novels are the best way to kill people. You can kill as many as you want, when ever you want and never get in trouble.

The last novel in the trilogy will be available by late this year. That is if the creeks don’t rise and the hills don’t burn and of course Lord willing it will be done. I will have a book set follow the last book within 45 days after the last book is available.

Writing, rough draft, editing and other “fun” activities for today

Today has begun just like yesterday.

I am fighting my rough draft on the second book in my Zombie World Domination trilogy. I did not create as good of an outline as I normally do. So now I am paying for it. I fight the flow, I fight the characters in this book, I fight how to I say what I want to say in as few words as possible. If I published everything I wrote my book would me longer than War and Peace. Even I dislike the number of words that I write to express my idea.

I find that if I deleted the passage and start over it helps. Oh well, they said writing was fun. It really is fun – at times. Other times it is a real difficult process. Onward and upward I march on.

 

My back/neck where it was fused two years ago has started to hurt today. It does with the weather change. I can’t even go out to our shop to pound on steel to work out my frustrations. I guess I have to be satisfied with my Starbucks. It’s from all this sitting down I think. I’m looking to become healthier, but it has proven a bit more difficult than I thought it would be at first. I’ve been eyeing this product, looking at Bioharmony complex plus reviews, and it might just be what I need. I can feel that I lose motivation as I stop seeing improvement; there must be something I can do to keep up the pace so that I won’t give up. It’s a bit of a balancing act, but I’m learning as I go along as well.

Second novel in my Zombie World Domination Trilogy

Today is shaping up to be the same as yesterday. I am working on getting the flow correct on the second chapter. It would have been much better if I had taken more time to outline this novel, plus I had to get a Graco FastAction-Fold-Click-Connect stroller since she was walking on top of my work. I will never begin another without a solid outline.

 

To look at what I have done so far I am on chapter 7. To make it flow correctly I am on chapter 2. Oh well. I usually learn more from the lessons that beat my ass than the ones that I learn on the normal route. Novel two is coming along okay. It is still on track for early second quarter 2017.

My current novel is getting close to being published. My editor, Alan Seeger, has one more pass at editing it. Then it on to formatting it for Amazon. Title stuff on our COE project

We are waiting for a police officer to stop our house to sign off on a VIN verification. From there we can go to the Nevada DMV and transfer the title from Vermont to Nevada. We can also register our COE at the same time.

I hate waiting…….

Step 1 – Getting started on our hot rod build

In 2014 we bought this truck from a shop in Denver Colorado. We had it shipped to Las Vegas shortly thereafter. Due to space we stored for several months at a storage facility. When we had the room we moved it to our work location. Now the work starts.

First thing we will do is obtain a title, insurance and registration. Doing this will allow us to build a 1947 hot rod. If we do the build and then obtain the title, insurance and registration it will classified as the year we applied for the title, insurance and registration. Instead of a 1947 it will be a 2016 with all of the 2016 vehicle requirements.

So here we wait for the paperwork to be done. Since the government is involved we will wait longer than normal.

In the mean time we will get the truck running so it can be inspected by the DMV.

The good news out of all of this is that once we start tearing this down to actually start our build the engine and transmission and all of the running gear will be in working order – and for sale – everything will go except the frame and body and several other items but not much.

Our first post on our hot rod build project blog.

Today, 2/5/2015 is the first day of this blog. Keep looking for additional posts as they are added. We are using a 1947 Chevy 2 ton cab over truck. We will be building a crew cab that will tip forward to work on the engine. It will have an old Caddy 501cui engine and a 700R transmission mounted on a sub-frame. The engine/transmission will be mounted mid-frame. We will have a trailer 5th wheel hitch so that we can pull a travel trailer and see the country. The cab you can see in the bed is the donor cab for building our crew cab.20140506_154330
